Michael Winter joined RIPCO in 2024 as a Managing Director of the Debt & Structured Finance Group.
Michael Winter first began his career at LaSalle National Bank in 1988 where he quickly built his way up to Vice President. In 1992, he accepted the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer at First Bank and Trust Company of Illinois which grew quickly under his leadership. He then became the bank’s President and Chief Executive Officer, until leaving in 2001.
Next, he accepted the position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Builders Bank Chicago where he was responsible for all of the bank’s operations including raising more than $70M of capital, and building out a national lending practice.
After a few years, Michael set his focus on development, including the acquisition of four multi-family properties located in Sarasota, Florida, a 355-unit multi-family property in Chicago, a 198-unit multi-family property in Los Angeles, and construction developments in Southern California.
Over the past few years, he has focused on real estate and private equity investments. At RIPCO Michael Winter assists clients as more than a “traditional broker”, but as a true resource and advisor.
