Barnes & Noble, Inc. is writing its next chapter in Manhattan’s East Village.
The beloved bookseller has signed an 11,300 SF lease at 181 Avenue A, also known as Steiner East Village, the 82-unit condominium development at the corner of Avenue A and East 11th Street.
The condo building was a top-selling development in 2018 and features a residents’ lounge, fitness center, swimming pool, and rooftop terrace.
The store is expected to open in November.
As Douglas Steiner, Chairman of Steiner, told Commercial Observer: “It was worth the wait. They’re a great retailer, it’s a fantastic use. We’re thrilled.”
