Jason began his retail leasing career in New York City in 2001 and has since completed transactions across the metropolitan area on behalf of a diverse mix of local boutiques, restaurants, fitness, educational, and medical users, as well as regional and international anchor retailers. He regularly represents tenants from initial site selection through multi-unit expansion strategies.
Over the course of his career, Jason has been responsible for launching numerous first-to-market retail concepts, including Peloton, Rumble, Hill Country, and the first Brooklyn locations for Sephora, Kith, Pure Barre, Mimi Cheng’s, 2nd Street, Tend Dental, and Specialized Bicycles. More recently, he relocated Barnes & Noble in Cobble Hill, executed pre-construction leases with Lidl and CVS in Park Slope, completed a deal at 54D in Chelsea, and transacted on behalf of several notable restaurants and cafés in Harlem.
Jason has also played a meaningful role in shaping key retail and cultural corridors throughout NYC, including Madison Square Park, the Lower East Side, West Village, East Village, Meatpacking District, Harlem, and multiple neighborhoods across Brooklyn. His work includes relocating art galleries from Chelsea to the Lower East Side and later advising a collective of gallery owners on expansion into Harlem and Mott Haven.
On the landlord side, Jason has represented a wide range of institutional and private owners, including Steiner NYC, The William Macklowe Company, Gazit, Gotham Organization, Grid Group, RXR, United American Land, L&M Development Partners, The Ray Group, PRD Realty, Rose Associates, Benenson Capital Partners, Gottlieb Real Estate, Brodsky Organization, Greenland USA, as well as numerous local ownership groups. In many cases, following successful lease-up, he has also advised on the sale of retail condominiums and mixed-use assets.
As a tenant representative, Jason’s clients include Specialized Bicycles, Just Salad, Havana Central, Hill Country, Bob’s Discount Furniture, and Barcade.
Jason is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
