Jason Sobel, Executive Vice President, joined RIPCO in 2016 and specializes in Long Island retail leasing, representing both landlords and tenants.
Jason represents some of the most prominent landlords/developers in New York including RXR, B2K Development, Olshan, The Beechwood Organization, Alpine Residential, Albanese Organization, JK Equities and Philips International.
His agency assignments include multiple new constructions as well as mixed-use properties. His passion for mixed-use “lifestyle” centers, combined with his local knowledge of the Long Island community, has enabled Jason to find the right tenant mix for each property. His leased deals include some of the best names in retail including Joe & the Juice, 7th Street Burger, Sweetgreen, Ulta, For Five Coffee, Chase Bank, Starbucks, Iavarone Brothers.
Jason was named 2023 Top Retail Broker on Long Island by the LIBN Real Estate, Architecture and Engineering Awards.
After studying Economics at the University of Michigan, Jason spent 25+ years owning and developing a national franchise business. His experience as a business operator has provided tremendous value to prospective tenants seeking space for a new business or expansion.
He resides on Long Island with his wife and two daughters. In his spare time Jason enjoys fishing and football.
Jason is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
