The wait is over! Wegmans Food Market is now open in lower Manhattan, NYC. The 87,500 SF store located at 770 Broadway at Astor Place offers a wide range of restaurant-style food options, including sushi, salads, sandwiches, soups, and more. Additionally, an onsite dining room with a sushi bar and champagne-oyster bar will open in the first half of 2024. Over 600 newly hired employees have been preparing for over a year to provide a unique shopping experience for customers of this iconic supermarket.
RIPCO’s Peter Ripka and Gene Spiegelman represented Wegmans on the deal and were awarded REBNY’s Most Impactful Retail Deal of the Year for 2022. The award represents the most meaningful retail transaction in its overall characteristics and importance to the New York City retail market.
This is the second Wegmans location in New York City, following the 2019 opening of Wegmans Brooklyn.
