Burlington Coat Factory is nearly doubling its space, relocating to a historical landmark building on 620 Sixth Avenue, between West 14th and West 23rd streets. The retailer’s new lease spans just under 80,000 square feet across three levels, taking over the former Bed Bath & Beyond space.
The retailer signed for just under 80,000 square feet, taking up most of the 100,000 square feet of retail space left behind by Bed Bath and Beyond. The 12-year deal marks another back-from-the-brink success for building joint-venture owners RXR Realty and Hudson Bay Capital, which recapitalized 620 Sixth with a $320 million loan when Hudson Bay came in as a partner in October.
