Ripco Real Estate is hiring Canvassers for our New York City, Long Island, and New Jersey offices. This is an opportunity for anyone looking to start a career as a commercial real estate broker. This salaried, entry level position is a one year (approximately) training program with a promotion to Sales Associate pending successful completion of the program. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the Company’s Listings and Comps Databases, as well as canvassing the streets to update our proprietary maps. You will be relied heavily upon by Ripco’s brokers to research and find critical data on leasing availability and comps for the purposes of advising our clients and potential clients. The individual must also keep abreast of the latest trends in retail and market conditions that may affect the real estate industry.
As part of the program, you will receive extensive training from Ripco’s top brokers; you will be exposed to all facets of the commercial real estate business, from both the landlord and tenant side. Our brokers will teach you the ins and outs of being a successful broker—from how to make effective cold calls to understanding lease terms to learning the art of negotiation.
- Real Estate Salesperson license or willingness to obtain;
- Excellent phone and communication skills;
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite;
- Detail oriented and extremely organized with strong analytical skills;
- Proactive and able to work in a fast paced, sales driven environment;
- College degree preferred.
